Does this mean I can kill enderman with them fighting back if I wear a pumpkin?
I think they mean if you wear a pumpkin,Endermen won't get angry if you look at them. They will still attack you if you actually attack it though
Endermen also take damage in water&rain,and you would want to fight endermen in an enclosed space(like a two block tall,3 blocks back space hole in a wall,because Endermen are 3 block tall,so they can't fit,and if the back of the hole is three blocks from the entrance of it,the Enderman can't reach you either). Also attacking Endermen with arrows,snowballs,eggs,and splash potions doesn't work because they teleport away from projectiles before it even hits them. Attacking an Enderman's feet helps prevent the Enderman from Teleporting for a few seconds.
