question is the axe better than the sword?
i keep seeing players fighting with axes instead of swords.
do they do the same damage only one can gut wood very quickly?
Do players use them to save diamonds (can't really be it because it only saves you 2 diamonds if you don't use a sword)
my inventoriy looks like this from right to left
sword--axe--pickaxe--shovel--cooked steak--stack torches--stack dirt/stone blocks (used for scalfolding)--bow/crossbow--stack harming II arrows/poison II arrows.
so I use both but I use the sword as an offense is the axe better?
I use an axe,because I was told,it gives out more melee damage.idk if this is true,but it seems to work like a diamond sword.
Oh but with new enchants sword is way better
As PoC uses MineCraft 1.8-type combat, the axe of a specific material actually does half a heart worth of damage less than a sword of the same material.
Though in MineCraft 1.9 combat, the axe does slightly more than a sword, but takes a bit longer to recharge a complete attack.
Because many MineCraft players and fans are either use to MineCraft 1.9 combat, or watch YouTubers who use axes due to 1.9 combat, it gives some PoC and MineCraft players the impression that PoC or Pre-MineCraft 1.9 axes are better than swords, and thus use axes.
