*im not very knowledgable on this sort of thing, so sorry if im just spouting incorrect nonsense*

As far as I know, all the servers for this game are hosted in Europe, so people who don't live in or near that place will have significantly worse ping than people who do. I play in the US, and my lag/ping gets pretty bad which makes the game a lot less enjoyable. Something that I think could fix this is if you hosted the game servers in other locations like the US or Asia, so people who don't live near Europe can get better ping. Again, sorry if anything I say here is incorrect, so feel free to correct me if im wrong.

The main solution for that is less players in spawn zones, but that cant be fixed. The only other route is the option to disable particles

maybe they could impose a limit of like 100 players per spawn zone?

As far as I known lag doesn't have to do with location. I have no idea where you got that. But what I can say for sure is, it's most likely your internet, device or the game itself

This is true, bad WiFi/Network connections, and certain low-end devices can cause lag.

Though they likely got the idea from the fact that too many players, mobs, items, or other entities in an area can cause significant lag, though of course this issue isn't limited to just spawnzones, but rather any location with too many entities.

However, central spawnzones are still a prime location for entity lag due to the fact that large amounts of players congregate around a few central spawnzones rather than spreading out, mobs can spawn around those players in the spawnzones, adding more entities to the area, and then the combination of mobs and player interactions typically cause items to drop on the ground.

Whether it was wolves/ocelots hunting animals, monsters killing players, monsters fighting monsters, players killing mobs, players killing players, monsters dying during the day, creepers exploding the ground, players throwing items to make inventory space, etc. it causes items to drop on the floor and usually be left there, and even if items despawn within five minutes in loaded chunks it'll still adds to the entity count while they still exist in the world.

BlueTangs Rock3, Though some easy changes to fix the issues of too many entities existing in spawnzones could either be;

1. Lower mob spawnrates in spawnzones.

2. Disable monster spawns in spawnzones.

3. Disable both animal and monster spawns in spawnzones entirely, and only allow them to exist outside of the spawnzones.

4. Spread out the range of spawnzones where new players could actually spawn in, since currently out of all the spawnzones in the server, only one or so of the spawnzones actually functions with spawning in the new players, thus a major amount of the player population congregates in a very small area of the server, and so allowing new players to spawn in a larger range of spawnzones would help spread out players more, and result in somewhat reduced player lag.

I remember back when mobs couldn't spawn in spawnzones on amazon underground, they'd just surround the spawn zones, and they all would be so packed together in a ditch that surrounded spawn, it basically caused even more lag, it was like a pool of zombies surrounding spawn, a lot of new players weren't even able to make it out of spawn lol.

ah ok, but I was mostly talking about lag caused by high ping. I thought the further you are from where the servers are hosted, the higher ping you will have?

Judy,

This is partly true, but it causes big problems in games where great accuracy is needed (for example, CS GO) - there games can be losed only due to the fact that one team has a ping of 5, the other has 50.
There are no such variations in our game, so as the guys above suggested, this can often be a problem with your Internet, and also yes - on the respawn where 100+ people can stand, there can be lags with both FPS and drawing.
Therefore, try to improve your internet speed, as well as put smaller graphics settings in places where there are a lot of people at the same time.

Have a great day!подмигивать
