•Hey Guys! So today, I'm Suggesting a Nether Reactor for PoC. It'll be an easy first step to add Nether content to PoC, because the matterials needed for it exists in PoC already (cobblestone, gold blocks, diamonds, and iron ingots)

•A Nether Reactor is an old MineCraft Pocket Edition feature added back in it's 0.5.0 update as a temporary way around the fact that there was no Nether, and removed in the decently more modern time of it's 0.12.0 update when they actually made the Nether.

•For a Nether Reactor, you need a Nether Reactor Core, which can be crafted by 3 diamonds and 6 Iron ingots.

•Then to activate the Nether Reactor, you need to build certain blocks in a certain pattern to create the structure needed to make the Nether Reactor.

•The structure has three layers needed:

top Layer: middle layer: bottom layer:

XCX   CXC   GCG

CCC   XNX  CCC

XCX    CXC  GCG   X=no blocks C=Cobblestone N=Nether Reactor Core G=Gold Block

•Once in the right pattern, you tap the Nether Reactor Core, and it's spawns a huge Netherack tower-like structure around the Nether Reactor, and items and Nether Mobs like Zombie Pigmen start spawning in the structure while the blocks that were made for the pattern (except for the Nether Reactor Core block) will start to turn into glowing obsidian, but if you mine your gold blocks quick enough then you could save some gold blocks to make another Nether Reactor later.

•Duringthe activation of the Nether Reactor, the Nether Reactor Core's appearance will be red instead of the unactivated blue color.

•After a few minutes, the Nether Reactor will stop spawning in mobs and items, and the Netherack tower-like structure will have holes in it leading to outside, the glowing obsidian turns into normal obsidian, and the Nether Reactor Core will be in a burnt-out state.

•When you mine the burnt-out Nether Reactor Core, it'll drop 3 diamonds and 6 iron ingots, which can craft another Nether Reactor Core.

•The Items that the Nether Reactor spawns while active are: glowstone dust, NetherBrick ingots, nether quartz, brown mushroom, red mushroom, bone, sugarcane, melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, bowls, and cacti.

•But in PoC, Nether Reactors could maybe spawn in soul sand, nether warts, ghast tears, blaze rods, gunpowder, coal, lava buckets, gold ingots, and iron ingots, all with different rarities of course.

•In MineCraft, Nether Reactors spawned in Zombie Pigmen, but maybe in PoC, Magma Cubes can spawn in them as well.

•Once Nether Reactors are added, Zombies, Spiders, Creepers, Skeletons, Slimes, and Endermen should stop dropping glowstone dust, blaze rods, ghast tears, magma cream, and nether warts, due to the fact that these are Nether realated items, and are meant to be worked for more than killing zombies and spiders near spawnzones to obtain.

•However if you don't want to make Nether Reactors to get those potion ingredients, then Witches could still drop them like they do now until the actual Nether is added, then Witches will drop ghast tears, blaze rods, and magma cream noticably rarer.

•Hope you guys enjoyed my suggestion! :D here are some sources for how these Nether Reactors and their cores work:

Edit 2-27-18:

•The Netherack that generates in the Nether Reactor's tower-like structure will disappear and reset in 24 hours to prevent major permanent greifing from it, but you can mine the Netherack, and it'll drop Netherack that will last forever like a normal block, so if you don't want that generated Netherack, then it'll eventually disappear.

End of Edit 2-27-18.

Also from someone's comment I'll add some images of what i'm talking about. Image 1:Nether Reactor Structure

Image 2: Nether Reactor's tower-like structure when activated

Image 3: the inside of the Nether Reactor's tower-like structure when activated

https://youtu.be/PpL79f6GFTE and this one shows it in 0.5.0 when Nether Reactors tower-like structure was made of obaiobsian instead of Netherack, but in 0.6.0-0.12.0, the Nether Reactor's tower-like structure was made of Netherack.

they wouldn't appear until the end anyways. I do big suggestions, at least I'm trying to make it more readable now. You should've seen my suggestions from a year ago. Lol

No, Nether Cores will ruin the game... People will place them everywhere.

what if the blocks of the netherack tower structure creates can disappear in 24 hours after generating(like a reversed version of the stone/ore/dirt glitch), by making the netherack generated have a special code, but once you mine the blocks and place them, they'll be permanent blocks but basically the structures caused by this could reset. That'll be a way to prevent greifing.

also even in old MineCraft Pocket Edition, you don't have the freedom to place them just everywhere, you can't build them below sea level, or so high in the sky that the structure would clip though, so it's limited to about 20-30 blocks in elevation.

Solverlab's servers cannot handle the constant -nethercore updating (block placement and item drops). Nor does Solverlabs want to give up their 'medieval' style.

I mean Nether Reactors are meant to be used as a temporary replacement of a more intensive thing, like the whole Nether Diemension. Once the actual Nether is added, then this could be a removed feature, but at least players can have more access to Nether realated items in a more logical way then killing mobs that have nothing to do with the Nether like Slimes,Spiders,Creepers, etc. It would actually be easier to implement this as the first form of the Nether, then have enough time to start implementing the Diemension.

yeah, those maps were 256×256 blocks back then. That's smaller than a single biome in PoC(being 50×50 world chunks big, with a world chunk being 1 coordinate, or 16 blocks, thus being 800×800 blocks).

saw someone play Minecraft Pocket Edition around the 0.7.0 update, got intrested in MineCraft, got MineCraft for the Xbox 360 back in September 2013 around it's Title Update 9, then I started watching MineCraft videos oftenlly while being stuck in TU9 for 3 years(even though the game has been updated at a moderately often amount, I didn't have internet to update at the time),then I eventually got to update to TU30somethin', then got the Xbox One edition in December of 2016, and before then I played various updates of MC:PE as well (because some of those MC clone games on the Play Store are sometimes just basically privated 0.6.0, but some of them go as recent as the update before 1.0.0, but now I just got the "Bedrock"(basically MC:PE) edition on the XboxOne now as well as the Console edition.
