I have huge Apple farm but it doesen't drop apples quickly. At least the percent should be %30-%20 .%0.5 is REALLY BAD. I recommend to fix it.Time to increase it.

that would be a higher percentage than saplings dropping(5% or 10% I believe,and I get multiple saplings from just the sapling grown easily),and apples are meant to be a moderately uncommon item,making them drop at 30% is like getting an apple from a leaf block at around every 1/4 leaf blocks,and that in my opinion's TOO common. Even 15% percent might be a stretch,I say maybe around 5%(the same chance as a zombie dropping an iron ingot,carrot,or potato),and I know that the number seems small,but it's still at least 10× more than 0.5%
that is if it must be changed AT ALL.

When if you find some of them I am destroying them. Yup I've been destroying Apple Temples and cutting your supply. not necessarily,monsters drop netherwarts at only 10%,and you always get those too often.
