the spawnzone for Dessert Biome 2(Biome 9), looks like this in the East direction of the portals:
and it looks like this from the West of the portals:
the most easiest way of telling apart the 2 biomes is that only Desert Biome 1 has this structure, so if you see this in the spawntown, you're in the wrong one most likely.
BlueTangs Rock3, Spearize is correct. Many old players say you can find apples in the chests in that spot but I personally have been to many and have found nothing.

probably one of the easiest ways to tell for sure what's in a natural structure's chest is by looking for it on a Private Map(in Survival).
It's under the ocean biome

Find a non dessert temple biome
Or if my bluetang expertise is correct lets say
Dessert biome 2
Head northeast in the biome you'll encounter a sand chunk along the way either go past it or go above it
And So

though according from what Spearize's description of where they should be located around, this might be the place that it's hidden somewhere in:

Cool! I will check this out in survival. I have never seen a village (not spawn) in PoC. Only temples and buildings.
