block! What is this?!
If the item you're holding is what placed that block on the ground in front of you, then it seems like there's a texture glitch for droppers in the inventory, as the selected item in your inventory looks like the backside of a private chest, while the block on the floor looks more like what you expect a dropper in MineCraft put through an alternate texturepack would look like.
Also that off-centered line on the transition between the block's side face and top face tho', lol.

That's how those blocks work, they have a side-facing texture and a upward-facing texture depending on which way you place it. With the angle you're in on the picture, it would face upward since you were above an angle where it would've placed the side-facing block so it angled upwards instead. While a side-facing block would likely despince it's items from the side and direction it was facing (horizontal item despincing), An upward-facing block would likely despince it's items vertically as that's what side it was facing.
BlueTangs Rock3, So this is actually an intended feature. However I still don't like that unconnected line transition texture between the face-side of the block and the side of the block, lol.
I think this is normal.a dispencer pointed up,or sideways looks different
It is normal whatch minecraft videos on dispensers dropper they both have the same texture change as planet craft
