I might be crazy, but I teleported until the message in picture shown up xD then I explored AROUND that village, what are the chances of it? It's The only unexplored one I found :O just thought I'd share this weird discovery of a new popup (to me) with you.....

-EN-TROLLJK,Yeah, I never really used teleports on survival til now xD was playing it a month or two after it was released, so most places were already explored...... But what I don't get is that someone actually went to 10 000:20 000 on foot, must of took days! O.o

It's a glitch
If you walk too far portal would be useless. You have to walk then.
You can easily fix it by telephoning around the broken portal
