The first trap for this post will be Mobs Dropper (that was made in The Heroes Clan).
What you need? Dig a hole, where mobs will fall. And the stairs to end of the hole. Surround the hole with wooden or iron traps on the top. Wait for the night time and trap mobs in the hole. They will fall down and then you can collect all item that they usually drop.
Make a wall around your base. Make the entrance to the base. Fill in that entrance with dirt. Hollow out the dirt. FIll it with LAVA. Fill in the top with dirt again. When someone comes they will break the dirt. The lava will most likely hit them. To prevent them from running away, get gates and place them 2 blocks away from your wall and place any block on the outside completely, so there is like cobblestone covering the gate on the outside. They will be able to get in but not out fast enough. TO prevent them from running around inside the gated area, place gates inside the gated area to make small induvidual squares around your wall.
Want to make a GOOD mob dropper??? First, make a 7x7 hole, dig down to bedrock. Do NOT mine ores unless you replace them with smoothstone. Cover up the bedrock layer with DIRT. Place WOODEN trapdoors on the edges of the hole and pen them. The mobs will think they are solid blocks and will fall. Make a 1 x 1 platform in the middle of the hole. Mobs will be lured to you. Skeletons WILL fall but they can still hit you. if you don't want to fall, place gates around your 1 x 1 platform. You may need a partner at the bottom of the hole collecting items. You can collect the items even if your not on the platform. Mobs can still fall.
Optional to get more drops: Put the platform 3 blocks above the hole, but skeletons will most likely not fall.
My favorite trap is when you distract your enemy like I do being all diplomatic and my friends place TNT under us then I say cucumber and we all are dead

Or, hollow out your walls and fill them with lava. Higher chance someone will break the wall instead of going over it.
