Depends the soldiers armor maybe like the players and you can give them commands. hit them with your hand only to stop them and they attack anyone who is not your friend

Villagers can do teh same thing if u give them an emerald they unfold their arms so u can give em swords and armor

Though soldiers can regen their health and villagers if u give em food

It would be a good adittion to the game

yeh and villagers are mostly the workers and Soldiers are the guards

It is a good combination

armies might be good but also bad in their own ways

like for real

Villages could be in far coordinates and Npcs u can hire em in Npc Castles and for every 10 diamond ingots u can hire 1 soldier and for every Vilager u hire its every 3 emeralds. Villagers are slower at fighting and are better at farming, mining, and guarding. Soldiers are good at Guarding, Mining, Offense, Attack, and Ranged attack. Villagers are more like the workers 

They will copy stuff that the player does if they follow the player. Name a villager a Farmer and it farms with seeds only and collects em. They can both kill mobs and hold tools and weapons and armor

It might take awhile to create but it will make the game fun. 

Okay so too first get Villagers and Soldiers u must do this 

Villagers they can be hired in Villages near Spawn Zones but cannot be destroy the villages. Theyre is a villager who has a (Hire here) others could have trading letters but whatever. U will be given a menu of what kind of villager u want to hire with 3 emeralds. Offense and Worker.

Workers- better at Farming and work that u must collect supplies and Farm

Offense- are bad at working but better at fighting and defending

Soldiers: can be found in Npc Castles 

A soldier will be standing their with letters above him saying (Hire here)

U click the soldier and go to a menu with 3 kinds of soldiers. Ranged, Offense, Defense. 

Ranged- Better at archery and looking at high distances and shooting enemies like Defense

Offense- Better at fighting directly and outrun Ranged Troops on ground

Defense- Better at fighting Offense troops and have alot of health they are well armored and have sheilds(If u can add it)

Each soldier cost 10 diamond ingots. Soldiers are not that good at Farming and Mining and etc but can still do it but they a little slow.

U should add commands to control your troops and soldiers like say offenseattack/ defend/ but they can do things auto too. 

Please think of this Suggestion

Golems, Villagers, Soldiers, and Dogs combined are OP
