According to the Wiki, golden tools, such as shovel, and pickaxe have a faster working time on many items.

I think emerald should be implemented, in that the tools are coded with the always fastest working time, yet with the durability of diamonds.

The armor should be made, however with perhaps twice the durability of diamonds, given their rarity.

Emeralds in many games have always been seen as having magical properties. Think Emerald City etc.

They could have the same mesh's and texture as diamonds, with just color change to green.

Emeralds should also play an important part in the enchantment process, should poc choose to implement it.

In MineCraft, lapis is used for enchantments and if enchantments are added in PoC,and it uses emeralds instead of lapis, then lapis will still be pretty much useless, though emerald armor, emerald tools, and emerald weapons would be nice

Though if NPC Villager trading is added, and it works the same way as in MineCraft, some villager trades give you an emerald for easy item trades(17 carrots,or 20 coal,or 30 paper for an emerald are all Villager trades that exists in MineCraft, and so Villager trading is the thing that makes emeralds common(in reality on MineCraft,if you're into trading with Villagers, emeralds could be just as common as iron, though the Ores themselves are the only rare thing about them) maybe emerald armor can have a durability a little more than diamond armor, and an armor protection level between iron and diamond armor?

and if they add NPC Villagers in PoC,you would probably be like "where,or how could we even find them?", because there are no naturally generated structures/villages(there are naturally generated structures but none that spawn specific mobs in specific locations)that spawn Villagers, but in MineCraft you can also get Villagers by curing a zombie Villager with a weakness splash potion, and a golden apple, and wait until it's curred, then you could get 2 or more Villagers and breed them to get an artificial village. Then you can trade with you own Villagers! :D

Then I could do all kinds of cool quests and maybe a few people get a way to get some diamonds from me

Yes, but this isn't Minecraft. We don't have to copy everything. :)

it's easier for them to use existing codes than create brand new codes. That's why they will add MineCraft things most likely before they add an original feature to PoC. PoC copies lots of codes from MineCraft, even some of MineCraft's audio files are tooken from MineCraft and used in certain PoC mob sounds(though half of the sounds these mobs make are "original"/not MineCraft audio files too). After enough time, almost anything in MineCraft would probably end up here.

BlueTangs Rock3, I don't know about POC source code, it could be really difficult.

But I have modded video games before. Elder Scrolls, Fable. Often weapons or tools, just have a numerical value to change, to adjust their damage and durability. You would just have to clone an existing object, give it a new guid, and change some vairiables. The 3d modeling process, and the creation of skins is the more difficult part. But, these models exist in game.

I don't really care about the magic part. But, I would love to see the tools and armor.

XD

Krystella, First off,

though luckly they have the possibility of generating in every biome, unlike MineCraft where Emerald Ore only generates in the Extreme Hills biomes, making them at least more widespread.
