Interesting Elevator glitch tbh
Thanks - I learnt 3 things in that vid
1) you can use spider webs to stop fall damage (how do you collect them? Pick axe?)
2) you can grow sugar cane (I tried but it wouldn’t plant, perhaps it has to be immediately adjacent to water?)
3) elevator trick (but how do you know where it will deliver you?)
Damn - the more I learn the more questions I have....
1. Shears are required to obtain cobwebs.
2. Sugarcane can be placed on grass, dirt, coarse dirt, and sand blocks that are right next to water, it cannot be one block diagonal from water though, the blocks you plant it on need to be touching water, so making a line of water, and placing sugarcanes on the blocks next to the water is a good way to grow sugarcane.
Unlike in MineCraft, bonemeal will not insta-grow sugarcanes, but instead you'll have to wait, over time like a cactus it'll grow more of it's self, once the sugarcane is three blocks tall, it's ready to collect to get max produce, though you can harvest it at anytime to get as much sugarcane as it is tall, it's better to wait as you'll get more.
When it's at full height, it's recommended to destroy the middle block, so you don't have to constantly destroyed and place the sugarcane each time you harvest(you can keep the bottom sugarcane growing).
3. There's currently a glitch where if you're head is right below a block, when you reload, you'll make it to the closest higher space, in Link's case being the surface, though if he had another cave above him at some point, it may put him in that cave instead, though if he did it again there, it may put him on the surface.
Basically the game relocates you to the closest valid space above you if you're in a cramped space.
Point 2 above - it seems simply being adjacent to water is not enough. How do you grow this stuff?.... (I’m hooked on speed!)
ok problem solved. Grow it next to water without hoeing the ground. Also it appears to need space - can’t plant another sugarcane next to it... odd...
