So back in 2018, Lucky Blocks and Video Blocks we're added, however I don't believe that having them covering the surface everywhere, and have them regenerate back over time was the best way to implement them.

I think this because,  when you're going around and mining the large abundance of them, and you're also ore regeneration farming, you basically don't need to obtain materials and resources from the older, intended sources, basically off-balancing the game's mechanics for anyone who does that, putting people who don't that would rather get resources the original intended ways at an unfair advantage.

Though I'm not asking that Solverlabs should remove Lucky Blocks, as if they were dealt with differently, they could be quite interesting, and adds potential to getting resources that would otherwise need to be held back, like sponges or some nether resources.

To help balance the game, while still having access to Lucky Blocks, Lucky Blocks and Video Blocks shouldn't be something that's naturally generated, but instead something NPC Trader shops can provide.

This would be good, as it can be a trader shop exclusive (as currently, almost everything in shop are just resources you can easily get yourself), giving an incentive to get people using the NPC trader shop mechanics.

Of course, as the Lucky Blocks would have to be bought if they're in the Trader shop, it might be good to get it a reasonable price, such as 100 in-game coins, as you get 40 free coins everyday you play, so you can save up coins for a few days to buy them, which would be good for Solverlabs as it can give you a reason to keep coming back everyday.

As well as a reasonable price, the block may have to have a little higher chances to get worthwhile resources from them, so it doesn't feel like you wasted coins on it for most cases.

Hopefully this suggestion isn't as controversial as when I made the suggestion to remove the ground regen glitch/mechanic.

those things can get added too, but it's also important to properly flesh-out mechanics that could have more improvement, and have more creative potential.

I like the Lucky blocks, personally. Everyone says they give an unfair advantage to people, which I disagree with based on my experience with them. For one thing- Everyone can use them. That's not unfair at all. Everyone has the same chance of getting what they want or need from them, or being killed by one. It also won't make everyone instant pros, as in my experience the most common items to find in them are pufferfish, sticks, rotten flesh, sponges, zombies, nothing, or they call down a lightning bolt. None of those have much use and are actually very harmful. Sure I've found lots of good stuff as well, but only on the days I dedicate to lucky block hunting. I think lucky blocks help make the game more challenging (it's also fun to spy on a noob who opens a lucky block expecting full diamond armor and gets exploded by TNT)

Another reason is that some people (including me) can't make in-game purchases...

I don't hate the lucky blocks either, though they do make it pointless to farm(as the hay bale, potato, and cake result chances are quite high), hunt mobs(as mob drop and potion ingredient result chances are also quite high), or many other things that would've required some effort in the past to obtain wanted resources.

It's not really a genuine survival challenge if every 30 or so blocks is another thing that gives you tons of stuff.

However despite of the negatives, they aren't all bad, they just need to be a bit more balanced, and executed differently than what they are, they could make a special mechanic that could have a lot of potential, like a NPC trade exclusive, or maybe an event where for a limited time each month, some lucky blocks could spawn, but having them just lying around for easy pickings isn't really the best way.

Some people don't want the surface of their area covered in constantly regenerating blocks that spawn in super charged creepers, lava, giant slimes, and TNT, when there's already a problem with the underground burying things constantly.

And if everything is easy to get, there's no real achievement in a survival experience, it's quite boring after a while.
