One tiny problem with this idea..... Oceans are very very small, compared to Minecraft, but I still think it should be added as you sometimes need to go through water and it takes forever. :D
Kieranb,oceans should be updated and bigger,and new types of oceans should be added like deep oceans,trench oceans,kelp forest oceans,and coral reef oceans. Maybe at world chunks that players haven't loaded/been in yet,the Terrain should be updated.
And I think I know how corals and underwater plants can work without having a weird air space in their block,if PoC has an option in the code,transarent walkthroughable blocks,like plants,torches,cobwebs can allow a water-flow-though-node mechanic,but land plants,torches,and webs can break on water impact,but corals,and underwater plants won't break on water impact.
