I was mining yesterday, and found iron in a cave. Today, i went back in and found the iron ore ABOVE where i had mined it...LOL!!! New autospawn physics, now they respawn in random locations, as a matter of fact, same happened with my coal and diamonds!

my diamonds and gold spawn in the exact same spot

My base keeps getting filled in I have to put a ton of torches all over the place to keep myself from having to dig out my base every day (luckily my huge coal mine and the trees around my base keep respawning as well)

Silverflame, if dirt and stone keeps respawning in your base is because you made it too close too spawn. However, ores and coal will respawn regardless of were your base is.

Danny, not so true with my base...dirt spawns and keeps blocking my entrance while 20 chunks from spawn...

MЧᎦᎿᎥÇ, it may also be because is too close to the surface.

Danny,it’s possible

Danny, Yeah the main part of my current base is only two blocks below the surface I don't know why I did that

What is the furtherest distance one can get from a spawn?

PoC helper
PoC helper's picture

Bob, furtherest 25 coordinates(сhunks)

50 coordinates far from closest spawn zones(survival multiplayer).

though the farther you get from the main spawns, the more inactive those places are, thus makes the farther out coordinates much more safer than the spawns closer to 0:0 yeswink

Except when u get out past 10000, best between 7,000 and 8000

oh, is it the range in which clans start to appear?

BlueTangs Rock3,yes

oh, ok, didn't know there was a couple thousand coordinate gap of inactivity between the spawnzone population region and the clan population region, I thought most clans lived a bit closer to 0:0 than that, dang. xD

Oh NOW I know why I never find anyone I want to find I need to go MUCH further out than just hiding around 9000-10000 area. I'll try for 20000:20000. I can't believe I thought it was such an achivement when I first arrived at 10000:10000 a year ago by using spawn zone portals.

I'm such a noob XD

I walked to 30k before earlier in 2018, I never seemed to find anybody though, lol.

Then again, I wasn't trying to find anyone.

BlueTangs Rock3, Well think about how much further the coordinate areas get away from each other the further out you go. The distances between 100: 100, -100: 100, 100: -100, and -100: -100 are each only 200 chunks apart, or an 800 chunk perimeter-size square, but 1000: 1000, -1000: 1000, 1000: -1000, and -1000: -1000 would be up to 2000 chunks apart, then you get into the ten thousand chunk range and you have to walk for about 80,000 chunks at the very least to reach all of the 10000: 10000 size coordinates.

What I want to know is are the clans in the positive or negative coordinate areas? Or like 1: -1 or -1: 1?

Because if I came to, say around over -20000: -20000 (southern area of the world) and realized the clans are mainly on the northern areas of the world (double positive coordinates), then I have just wasted hours of walking even if I use spawn portals and speed potions and elytra to travel as fast as possible, and I have to go twice the distance to get back up to 20000: 20000 or higher. Just an example I have no idea how it actually is.

Unless the PoC world is round and if I go far enough the numbers will start changing back until I reach 0:0 that would be so cool

So the chances of meeting someone correlate with the size of the world and the spread within that world and the number of players on at any one time.  Are the number of players active on the server readily available anywhere?
