Alright, here is a fun topic for survival. Using your chemist knowledge, list as many chemical symbols for items in poc. I am doing what I knew...

1. Gold: Au(aurum)

2. Iron: Fe(Ferrum)

3. Diamond: C(Carbon)

4. Emerald: Be 3Al 2( SiO 3) 6

5. Glow stone dust: ZnS( Zinc Sulfur)

6. Water: H2O( liquid)

7. Snow: H2O( half liquid half solid)

8. Ice: H2O( solid)

9. Sand: SiO2( silic dioxide)

10. Stone: C(carbon)

11. Obsidian: SiO( silic monoxide)

12. Glass: SiO2( silic dioxide)

13. Glow stone: ZnS( zinc sulfur)

14. Glass bottle: SiO2( Silic dioxide)

15. Sugar: C12H22O11

That’s all I knew for now. Add more and when I discover more chemical symbols, I will update this thread.

tip: use wikia to search for items and google for the symbols.

Organic items mostly don’t have chemical symbols.

I gave the periodic table for reference.

Stone isn't carbon though, it's more consisting of quartz-like minerals.

Also glowstone isn't similar to sulfur in any way other than color, gunpowder's the closest thing to sulfur we got, but interesting list though. :)
